#Dinofacts with Melia. Did you know dinosaurs actually showed each other affection? The T.rex for example would nuzzle it's mate with its face. The T.rex family unit was quite affectionate. For being the apex of land animals they still knew how to love someone. Can I just say this is couple goals

#Dinofacts with Melia. The T.rex lived on the continent of Laramidia. Now the western North Americas. They also lived in prehistoric Europe and Asia. It's just mostly known for living in North America. The T.rex was quite a globetrotter. Many of its relatives are spread around the world due to this

#Dinofacts with Melia. Dinosaurs fossils are only found in sedimentary rocks. These types of rocks are formed by pieces of different rocks, minerals and animal remains. This is true of all fossils. Sedimentary rocks don't always form and because of this we only have a finite amount of fossils

#Dinofacts with Melia. All theropods and sauropods reproduced by laying eggs. Another connection to modern day birds. The egg of a T.rex was believed to be around 17 inches long. A chicken egg is about 2.2 inches long. Quite a difference from it's ancestor. That's rather eggcellent

#Dinofacts with Melia. The Stegosaurus is a late Jurassic herbivore known for it's spiky spine and tail. It lived 155-150 million years ago and was quite a fighter. It is unfortunately believed to the least intelligent dinosaur. This is due to it's brains size compared to its body.

#Dinofacts with Melia. The T.rex might have been mighty but it was not a god. The Triceratops was capable of killing the mighty T.rex. This is in part due to its large horns that could pierce the flesh of anything that attacked it. The T.rex or Triceratops could be crowned the victor in battle.

#Dinofacts with Melia. Before life can prosper death must occur. Dinosaurs came to be during the Triassic period. Before that happened the Permian-Triassic extinction happened. The Great Dying as it's called. 70% of land animals died out. 96% of marine life died out. It was a devastating event

#Dinofacts with Melia. Tyrannosaurid showcase today. The Albertosaurus was a Tyrannosaurid that lived 76-74 million years ago. It's name meaning Alberta Lizard. A late Cretaceous carnivore that while related to the T.Rex was smaller and not as heavy. It was around 3 tons and 11 ft tall.
