Captain Nemo's organ looked very shiny and immaculate. It was entirely refurbished in July 2023.
But, with the removal of the mirror effect (James Mason's face would appear in it) it's definitely less interesting now. 🤦🏻♂️

Because the oculus sequences are displayed across two layers of video, the effect has depth and is surprisingly realistic. 😍👍
But the video content seemed a little bit blurry to me. Plus, the Captain Nemo voiceover totally sounded like Ben Whishaw. 🧸🤣

In the Grand Salon, I saw the four oculus sequences. 🐬🦈🐋🐢
They were quite serene and beautiful to watch, but lacked any drama or sense of danger. 🤷🏻♂️
The sequences were quite short too (hammerhead sharks 24s) and I felt there could've been more of them.

The Chart Room and Diving Chamber scenes seemed, again, brighter and less mysterious than I remembered them. 💡
The removal of the French crew voices was apparent, which made the experience less cinematic, less atmospheric. 🚫🎬

In the Ballast Compartment and Captain Nemo's Cabin, the changes seemed subtle to me.
But I definitely noticed the removal of references to the 1954 film (Kirk Douglas' tenor guitar) and the brighter, whiter lighting.

After dinner, I finally got to experience the changes made to Les Mystères du Nautilus in July 2023 and make up my own mind.
I immediately loved the new music in the underwater tunnel. It was magical and EPCOT-y. Anyone know where it's from? 🎵☺️
