Kumquat Dragon
Within a strange kumquat's heart, it grew,
A dragon so small, yet fierce and true.
Sunshine scales, and leafy spines of green,
Protecting, each night, it's fruit tree home.
One day it ventured, beyond the sweet grove,
To a world of wonders, skies filled with love.
The wind in its wings, a newfound delight,
With thirst for knowledge, and yearning for song.
It's citrus scales gleaming, shining bright and gold,
This dragon soon found, a new sight to behold.
In Bluesky's expanse, it spread its wings, and soared,
With words that ignite and draw others in close.
This place where butterflies drift, and kinship is forged.
A little nervous to share this, but, here's something I've been working on?
The last time I made a longer poem, I was in secondary school! ๐
