Indian restaurant where we'd planned to get dinner is packed, so we ordered take-out, then ran over to catch what we could of #TheOscars on the screen at old-school movie palace The Arlington Theater in #DTSB. The trompe-l'oeil village atmosphere there may date from the theatre's opening in 1931?
An old friend in peacenik eyewear next to me at the march, and a furry in the background home I covered several blocks in close proximity to; most of what I shot was video rather than still shots, but it was a legitimately well-attended march here in Santa Barbara, on March 1st (proposed internet holiday notion: "March first, ask questions later!") Anyway, good times for a righteous cause.

The SB #TransRightsMatter march was significantly larger & more central. It started at De La Guerra Plaza in #DTSB, then marched up to the Granada Theater before doubling back on itself & heading back down State. Well organized, w/ good chants & a fun vibe. Nice seeing you, @chrisshorb.bsky.social!
