Saw another Texas Brown (A. hentzi) strolling by and wanted to give him a lift back out into the wild. Big guy was very docile but mobile, so most of the pics didn't turn out. Always a pleasure to encounter one of these sweethearts, though. 😊

Antlion lacewing, Myrmeleontidae. These mandibles do not fit this delicate animal at all, which is reminiscent of a dragonfly with the flight behavior of demoiselles.
