Yep, the ideally situation is one in which the housing market 'stagnates' until earnings have caught up.

We do that by banning buy-to-let and investing in a massive social housing programme. #EndLandlordism

I don't want my rent to increase incrementally. I don't want my rent to plateau. I want my rent to go DOWN. And at some point, the mechanics of rent-extraction will have to come to an end.
