Now that we have copies with better sound, it's clear that really isn't any major difference in the soundscapes between songs. And the outro played lived by the orchestra while the credits roll would how sounded very differently had half the instruments been gone. #esc1975
It's not true, of course. At least I've never seen any indication of it being true. But when I was new online back in 1995, this was passed around as fact by older fans. Remember to check your sources, kids. #esc1975
This was meant as some sort of union protest and was given as explanation why the later half of the entries sounded different and had "smaller" arrangements: half the instruments were missing. #esc1975
Reading the post for last night's #esc1975 rewatch and suddenly remembered one of my favourite eurovision myths: halfway through the presentation of songs in Stockholm 1975, half the orchestra got up and left their seats and instruments and didn't come back.
One of the most wholesome moments, between the mess, of Malmö 2024 was this sequence with Karin Falck.
