Day 13: MCs' childhoods

I touch on this in the main duology, but my prequel novelette(s) share more. These stories are less about the MCs' childhoods in themselves, and more about the contexts they're coming from. They provide an avenue to expand stories into their home clans...

Fantasy Indies April, Day 13

In Being Magic, we learn about Elana’s childhood. That’s when she learned she was different and could see incarnations of herself and others. She learned she could travel to the place between lifetimes.

Day 13 of #FantasyIndiesApril

In my Oracle of Delphi series WIP, I don't really cover the childhood of many of the Pythiai - the series would be probably longer than 10 books if I did. But a few are highlighted, and they're usually not the greatest of times.

#FantasyIndiesApril day 13: MC's childhood

Corn spent his days working with his pa out on the fields and spent his nights watching his ma perform at the local corner bar. She played the harp with her hands and the drums with her feet and even occasionally sang.

He loved life.

13: MC's childhood

Lina's childhood was rough. Her parents died when she was little and she was brought up by her uncle, an old bachelor who didn't know the first thing about kids. He did right by her, at least.

12. Routines in WIP?

When you judge souls and watch the in-between you have to have routine or the conveyor belt of the dead gets backed up.

Also you should brush your teeth 2x a day even if you're a demon. Good oral health is important

Veldandi had a fairly normal childhood. As the eldest of 4 siblings, she grew up a quintessential tomboy and wasn’t afraid to get into scuffles to defend her younger siblings.

Even as an adult, she’s still the fiercest of the 4 despite being the shortest.

Sybil's not sure about her childhood. It was an awful long time ago, and she's forgotten. It's even possible she grew up in the world of flesh and only went into Fairy later! Isn't that a nutty idea?
