Once again, thanks for playing along, writer and reader friends. These little daily questions help keep me jazzed about my story, and sometimes make me think about details I never considered before.

I had fun doing this pronot this month and have a chance to talk about writing. I hope there is another one sometime soon.

Wrap-up!
I had a very busy month, so I struggled with keeping up with the prompts. But it was very productive and worth it. I was able to complete, I think, seven or eight chapters. So a few thousand words total. And I have been working on teaching myself to draw which is fun.

31. I wish I got more done than I did. Between work, non-profit stuff, and house stuff, I wasn't left a ton of time to work. I did rewrite a chapter to add more descriptive language, though. So steps were made! #FantasyIndiesMaytober #writingcommunity #writesky

31. Wrap-up: I changed approach to dev. edit. Found inconsistencies early in MC’s arc. Found lots of help pondering various prompts on here and preparing #WIPSnips. This actually is constructive use of time. 😅 No closer to knowing when the book will be ready.

Day 31 #FantasyIndiesMaytober

Monthly Wrap-up: We’re in the home stretch when it comes to the novelette reprints! “Hanging at Crosbhothar” is done and just about ready for pre-orders, while “The Gale at Quiet Cove” and “The Skull in the Tree” just need covers and proofs.

This has been an…interesting month. “The Bird with Antlers” feels further away than it did just a few weeks ago. Maybe that’s not necessarily a bad thing though.

I have no aspirations of being a “writer”. Meaning, I don’t want to become the next King. But it is that…

It wasn't horrible. It wasn't fantastic. Did a tiny bit of editing in a short story collection and became friends again with morning nap time thanks to some new medicine. Looking forward to next month

Day 31 of #FantasyIndiesMaytober

This month, I finished the 1st draft of Book 6 of my Oracle of Delphi series WIP, and began outlining Book 7.

I read 10 books, 4 of which were indie.

May sucked for many of us, it seems. Hoping June will be better for us all. 🎉

May has been an epic: I reached two major milestones:

1️⃣ Launched the cover for my pending debut fantasy book
2️⃣ Worked through all the editor’s edits

I’m this close 🤏 to publication… 🥳

Day 31: Monthly Wrap-Up! May has been a great month! I got the cover design back and some editing and revision done for The Recall. Even though it's just a prequel novelette, it's a very special project to me. Revisions are going well for The Weaver's Understudy too. #FantasyIndiesMaytober #WIP

What a month! It was fun to talk about my antagonist so much, since I usually avoid doing so for spoiler reasons. Maybe I’ll post more about her someday ❤️

#FantasyIndiesMaytober Monthly Wrap-Up

My free promo moved 1300+ copies of books. And I sold two. 🤷‍♀️ I'll take what I can get.

I met many but not all of my writing and editing goals, participated in a couple online events. And my play premiered. All in all, not a bad month.

31. I'd just like to finish this chapter and then the rest of the book. So my first draft probably won't be done until the end of June, which means it will have taken nine months total (best case). Fingers crossed!

31) WRAP-UP

Productive month. I joined itch.io. "The Jinxed Pirate" got a nice review from @thebookwyrmshoard2.bsky.social

And I'm trucking along on my WIP at a decent pace. Still a way to go, but it feels good to go through a chapter & finally say "Done."

#31 I've thoroughly enjoyed sharing bits of The Forever Bridge and Not the Final Girl here this month.

Next month, I'll make current versions of the first chapters of those books available on my Patreon.

Non-patrons will be able to get them, too.

It's been a month. That's for sure. Didn't get much writing done, but I moved to a new apartment, got a new job, got two book covers commissioned, and sold two books this month!!

Busy busy month. Hopefully, next month, I can post more on my socials lol

31) May was not all it was cracked up to be. I made a little writing progress, reached a new decade, and sorted a few personal things out, but that's about it. Thanks for sticking with me through this #FantasyIndiesMaytober thing. Maybe I'll do it again sometime. :)

No sales this month, but on the bright side, I'm almost done with the first draft of Ballad's End! With luck, I may be able to get it edited and ready for publication by the end of the year or early 2026.

Haven't had as much writing time as I'd like this month due to other things, so I'm glad I had this to help keep my mind focused on my WIP.

Won't be long (I tell myself) before I start looking for more beta readers for The Ember's Fall!

This month great because I got to figure out how two people who do terrible things differ. What sets Ruby apart from Xavier, and I'd been struggling with that. In short, Ruby put her life on the line for people countless times.
