A large stock pot with chicken quarters, peas, frozen broccoli, and cut up carrots from the fridge.
A whole bunch of dishes take up a counter. One is a ninja that has the puree of the vegetables and chicken from last night. One is a cat food dish where I am adding the new supplemental food. One is a large Mason jar full of a beautiful chicken broth with a layer of fat at the top. This is the first broth I ever made from scratch and I'm so proud. There is also a silver bowl with a purple measuring cup in it which happens to have the veggies in it, a Red Bull where I've been putting the bones, and in the background a bowl for scraps and a silver bowl full of the cooked chicken. My gray kitty Faramir is overlooking the process from a blue stool at the back side of the counter.
Faramir sniffs at the blend of his dry cat food from Trader Joe's mixed with the chicken, veggies, and broth puree I made him from scratch.
Faramir shows how much she likes his food by shoving his face into the food dish.
I think Faramir approves of his new diet.
I'm so grateful for the chicken quarters we get from the co-op boxes; we don't like them, but they're perfect for homemade 🐈 food. And always grateful for the #Garden 🌱 to supply healthy 🥕🥦🫛 and herbs for them. #Faramir #Cats #CatsofBluesky #Pets #Homestead
