A quick bit of news. Shaun's book Chainsaw Terror is getting a re-release from Fathom Press/Savage Harvest sometime this year. At present, we cannot tell you if this will be a restored version with the cut content being published*. We'll let you know when we know.

The article states:

"SAVAGE HARVEST will first reanimate Return of the Living Dead in Spring 2024. It will be followed by similarly long-lost works from fan-favorite authors including, Gary Brandner’s The Brain Eaters (1985); John Skipp and Craig Spector’s The Light at the End (1986); Barry Hammond’s Cold Front (1982); Shaun Hutson’s Chainsaw Terror (1984); Norman Bogner’s Snowman (1978); and Jack Vance’s Bad Ronald (1973)."

We will also keep you up-to-date when we know more. The original book of Chainsaw Terror, published under Nick Blake, is one of Shaun's rarest books. The re-release will only increase its value. It was also published as Come The Night, again as Nick Blake.

Fathom have also re-issued COLD FRONT by Barry Hammond. If you're a horror collector, you'll know how rare the original book of this is. But it's great news that Chainsaw Terror is being re-released...

* Note: With regards to the uncut version, the versions that were released (Chainsaw Terror and Come The Night) had cut content that was deemed too extreme back in the early 80's. It remains to be seen if the cut material will make it into this new edition. I don't see why it wouldn't in 2025, but we'll see.
