A view looking back towards the town from past the Iron Wharf Boat Yard (where the boats are moored). The sky is mostly a clear blue crossed with contrails. The creek is mostly a grey-brown mud at low tide with only a narrow stream reflecting the blue of the sky. Grasses and low-growing, salt-tolerant plants in various shades of greens and browns make up the foreground.

It was a lovely afternoon for a walk down Faversham Creek. If you zoom into the boat nearest the water you should just about make a Little Egret (Egretta garzetta) wadding through the stream.. #favershamcreek #faversham #creek #kent #england #birdsoftheworld #birds

I'm not entirely sure why, but I've always had a soft spot for this photo of the entrance to Faversham Creek, that I took in 2016. It's pretty much as was, but I've lightened it a bit here #favershamcreek #faversham #kent #england

Counted the same 3 Redshank (among others), earlier this afternoon. Sorry to have missed you. The Ruff was last seen Saturday slightly further along near the Sewage Farm outflow, along with a couple of Common Sandpiper, Kingfisher and Spoonbill. #FavershamCreek

Posting the photos of the little grebe at high tide on the creek reminded me of my "Oop" video of early last year. I was almost caught by the wash from a car braving the flood, whilst recording the stretch of road I mentioned in the first ALT-text 😂 #FavershamCreek #Flood #Faversham #Kent #England

Cycling this far out along #FavershamCreek helps cover more area when restricted to birding after work and having less time available. Once I reach a stile however I'm snookered as there's little hope of me lifting this bike many times. Feels like it weighs a tonne even if i take the battery off first!

Unfortunately my phone's camera got stuck on the 'macro' setting today, which caused all the landscapes I took to have this painterly effect. I don't mind it here though, as I think it suits the scene #FavershamCreek #Faversham #Kent #England

Viewing along Faversham Creek with an old wreck to the left and a couple of red buoys visible. I'm sheltered under bushes away from the rain and wind. The tide was out, and there were roosting Black-headed and Herring Gulls. Also, there were feeding Redshank, Teal, Little Grebe, and Cormorant. It was also here that the Grey Wagtail and Greenshank flew through.
