I feel like looking at Wiley's painting that the person in the painting is probably a leader and he is ready to go on a fight. I feel this way and I could be wrong because the way the horse is moving and the way he is posing is very symbolic. #hwa3 #feelingform

when i look at both paintings i see like the past and the present being confofmed into the past, like how the second guy has a background like shoes from this gen, it seems like they’re trying to recreate the realness in the 1st pic. #hwa3 #feelingform

#hwa3 #feelingform Looking at the painting, I feel as sense of victory/pride. The painting makes me feel like I should be proud of something (idk what) I think I feel this way because the subject of the painting is emitting confidence which seems to be transferred across the acrylic medium.

#hwa3 #feelingform When I looked at the painting, it looked like a really fancy curtain behind the person on the horse. That made me feel like I’m looking at a performance instead of something actually happening. And his face is so calm it doesn’t even feel as intense.

#hwa3 #feelingform I feel looking at Wiley's painting a sense of pride and rebellion, as if it is also inspiring me to break molds and go out of my bounds. It is because of the way the painting unapologetically positions a black man in a position of authority and power in a way we are not used to.

I feel puzzled. I don't really see the vision. Wiley seemingly copies so many aspects of the original art but changes the person and the style of clothing to be more modern (which isn't what's puzzling) but I don't know what the point of the background is. Looks like gift wrapping #hwa3 #feelingform

I feel confused looking at this painting. Like what was he trying to do by altering an iconic piece of art? What message was he trying to convey. Some art is easy to tell the meaning of such as Banksy's girl with balloon. But I cant quite grasp it here. #hwa3 #feelingform

While looking at the painting, I feel a sense of uncertainty. The pose feels very historical, but the stylistic choices feel more modern. It makes a very strange uncertainty when the painting is made if I wasn't old otherwise. #hwa3 #feelingform

#hwa3 #feelingform I feel awe mostly. There is a strong feeling of empowerment from the painting; the changing and subverting the typical forced narrative of white history. Art that challenges preconceived ideas in such a deliberate and intentional, literary way like this is just incredible.

#hwa3 #feelingform After looking at Wiley's painting, I feel like it is more confusing about its significance compared to the original. The background definitely played a factor in my confused thought process.

#hwa3 #feelingform I feel sort of moved and kind of confused because when I imagine a 'warrior' riding a horse, it certainly isn't in street wear. It seems more of a pose that is breaking barriers and saying 'this is the way it should be done.'

It makes me feel confused honestly because it looks kind of modern but also you can tell it’s not modern. It mixes both at the same time. #hwa3 #feelingform

Overall i’m captivated by how he was able to struck the pose but in modern times. It’s interesting to see that the only thing didn’t change was the horse and the cape, as that’s the presentation that made the original painting interesting. It shows that anyone could do the pose. #hwa3 #feelingform

Because the original painting is so infamous, Wiley's work makes me feel intrigued by the drastic change in narrative, and looking at his confident and cool expression kind of feels empowering. Napoleon's status as an unreachable noble is unrelatable in contrast. #hwa3 #feelingform

obviously wiley's piece is meant to be a political statement and satire towards the original piece. how do i feel about this? personally from an art perspective the amount of details in the piece to give the satire vibe are interesting so i guess i feel inquisitive? #hwa3 #feelingform

#hwa3 #feelingform I feel like Wiley's painting is poking fun at the original painting, because the things he made different compared to the original is so out of place and a little absurd that there has to be a deeper meaning for it. From the clothes, to the background, to the person, to even the-

I feel patriotic looking at it…. Like it’s giving the iconic military picture of soldiers working together to put up the flag or Washington crossing the Delaware #hwa3 #feelingform

Hm, I honestly feel like in the painting that the guy on the horse is like royal and ruling the people which is kind of symbolized by the names on the rock that he is ruling those people. I might be wrong but thats the message I am getting.

#hwa3 #feelingform I feel curious about the paintings. I want to know his story and his meaning behind his paintings. But the paintings also do speak for themselves. I feel as though he is trying to retell history and acknowledge representation.

#hwa3 #feelingform I feel very strange knowing that it is not AI. These days if I see a painting or image like that I immediately assume it is AI.

Looking at the painting it feels like it is trying to prove a point. Something about the way ther subject is staring directly into the viewers eyes makes it seem like he saying "see what I mean"

i feel determined and inspired. i think i feel this way because as i said before, its giving that ehs going to war and hes commanding his soldiers to attack at last. ive seen many movies with this exact shot as the commencement of war, so thats where my mind goes #hwa3 #feelingform

#hwa3 #feelingform. In all honesty, feeling confused. Because this painting lacks the coherence you would expect—especially when comparing it to the original. But who am I to judge?

I feel intrigued looking at Wiley’s painting and I think it’s because there is so many details to it that you can only notice if you look close enough #hwa3 #feelingform

I feel Wiley's paintings are more realistic. It gives me that "oh, this is a real person" feeling, even though I don't know who the person in the painting is. Maybe it's the composition and colors, or maybe it's the central figure that makes me feel like it's "real."

looking at Wiley's painting makes me feel intrigued. Like why did Wiley edit the original painting and add boots? I feel like there's more of a story behind it. #hwa3 #feelingform

I feel a nervous energy looking at Wiley's painting. I think it makes me feel this way because it gives me a vibe of war or battle which brings some anxiety along with the painting. The painting also confuses me a little which gives me a sense of uneasiness. #hwa3 #feelingform

Looking at wileys painiting i feel intrigued by the way it is presented but i assume thats just because it was intended to have inferences made from it and not be straightforward #hwa3 #feelingform

the painting feels modernized. i’m not sure if it’s due to the fact that i saw the original beforehand. it feels like it’s a parallel to something else that currently may be occurring in the real world. like a side by side comparison of history repeating itself ? #hwa3 #feelingform

Looking at the painting, I get a feeling of satire, that this is meant to be a political piece, but also poke fun at the original. The original seems almost dramatized, while Wiley's seems to play off that. #hwa3 #feelingform
