Another example- I wrote a 300 page novel PHD thesis with pioneering machine learning for the field--code I built from scratch. Did not get best the best department thesis. White guy with his 150 page dissertation on improving a current method won. #academichatter #feministscience #phdlife
Yeah classic. I developed a novel method. My male coworker used that method and flew through peer review with 1/2 page comment. Me, the paper rejected with 14 pages of reviewer comments nitipicking said method as biased. #academichatter #feministscience #academicpublishing
