A dark pink flower called "bloody crane's bill".
A thin blue cornflower.
A white daisy with a yellow center.
A yellow dandelion with a few tiny insects on it.
Anyway have some flower portraits from today's walk! #NayePhoto #FlowerPosting

pansy plant with medium sized blossoms. the main color on all petals is a soft warm off white color. the bottom three petals have a very pale yellow fade from the center and a very saturated blue-violet vein pattern tightly packed in the middle. the top two petals of each flower also have a very pale blue-violet fade from the outer edges. i personally call this color “angel” and i have had it show up the two previous years
color i call “pink lemonade” in a pastel version. small pansies with three solid bright yellow petals on the bottoms and two fairly pale purple petals on the top. the purple has a very very subtle watercolor-like pattern with variations in the purple’s hue tending toward blue. vein pattern inside is bare minimum tiny lines. regular “pink lemonade” color is a vivid fuchsia purple color, and the dark “pink lemonade” is a very dark indigo purple color. the dark ones can also be spotted, but the pale ones are not.
small pansy flowers. these have a very pale and dull periwinkle color (a but darker and more saturated when they first open up as you can see in the center)on the top two petals and down into the bottom three as well, though on the bottom three there begins a fade to yellow. there is a white halo around the center with pale yellow overlaid, and a tight and small reddish center veining. i have seen this with a bright lavender outer color, as well as this and a sort of brown variation. i call this one “dust”
small pansy flowers. these have a rich and vivid dark velvety royal purple on all five petals, mostly darker on the bottom three petals but some very dark all over. large gritty yellow halo, central veining is a very dark red tinted purple. i would call these “royal bee” i think. the contrast between the dark purple and yellow reminds me of the black and yellow on a bee
#flowerposting carrying on this tradition from twitter. some of these survived the winter but about half are new from seed. the first pic’s plant seems to be doing incredibly well and is about a foot tall. i wonder if pansy colors have ever been defined and named

Photo of a tunnel of cherry blossom trees in Green-wood cemetery, taken from underneath so the light is very dappled. There blossoms are very light, almost white.

Photo of a hill in a Green-wood cemetery with a fully blooming magnolia tree at the top. There is a pillar for a grave to the right of the photo, and the hill is completely covered in magnolia petals.

A cluster of forget-me-not flowers, which are usually pale blue with a yellow center, but these are both blue and pink!
Pink daisies of the kind that's a ball of petals.
A big purple violet.
Violets with yellow center and purple edges.
The flowers on the deck are doing so well! We also planted some spuds in our planter, and turned over the little flower bed we use for annuals. Just have to do some flower shopping and we'll be all set! #GardenPosting #FlowerPosting
