New review up on my author portfolio, #ForteanSky. The Rough Guide To Unexplained Phenomena is a flawed gem, but a gem nonetheless, and worthy of a place on any paranormal enthusiast's bookcase. Find out why below, and when you're done there's other reviews on there too if you fancy reading more.
Yard work for my #WeirdWednesday today then, #ForteanSky. In honour of the creeping green vines I'm cutting back, here's something also green and creepy for #CthulhuSky. A surprisingly rarely referenced ode to old Howard himself, spoken at his graveside. Worth putting up with the sound issues for.
OK, so it looks like there's no dedicated #FolkloreThursday today, but here's a little something that #FolkloreSky and perhaps #PaganSky or #ForteanSky might find useful. Fancy some late 19th Century Folklore Society journals? Perfect research reading for sure.

It's #WeirdWednesday time again, and I have one of the best American ghosts and folklore YouTube channels for you. Even better, they recently started doing podcasts versions of those videos, and they're downloadable too. One for #ForteanSky and #FolkloreSky I think.

It's #FollowFriday. So @taraadevlin.bsky.social, one of the best Japanese urban legend, folklore, and weird news creators on YouTube is actually on BlueSky too. And they definitely deserve more followers on here than they currently have. One for #FolkloreSky, #UrbanLegendSky and #ForteanSky eh?
OK, this #ForteanFriday entry goes out to #ParanormalSky, #ForteanSky and #OccultSky then. Found a very interesting collection of original scans from a variety of occult, spiritualist and paranormal newspapers, part of a wider preservation project. Useful research materials for sure.

Top tier entry for #WeirdWednesday then, #ForteanSky, a real old school resource dedicated to the work and mythos created by HP Lovecraft. And not the site you're thinking of either. Love the post web 1.0 aesthetics here, adds to the overall reading experience for me.

OK, #ForteanFriday then, #ForteanSky. Been hanging out on the Internet Archive again, and found this excellent little magazine from March 1976 that I will admit I had never heard of. Borley Rectory, psychic twins, black magicians losing sanity points, it's all in here.

OK #ForteanSky, know I should wait for #ForteanFriday, or at least #WeirdWednesday, but I just couldn't. Stumbled on the original BBC2 three hour marathon version of the Weird Night today, something that's always been a half remembered fever dream for me up until now. #Epic.

It's #ForteanFriday then. This BBC report from 1964 should be of interest to both #WitchSky and #PaganSky, as well as #ForteanSky too. And weirdly, it's more old school twee than #SatanicPanic in its core narrative. Which feels rather strange to be honest.

The latest issue of Fortean Times magazine sits at an angle on my bookshelf. Surrounded by occult and paranormal books. The title font is in orange.
Super simple #ForteanFriday today then, #ForteanSky. My copy of Fortean Times arrived yesterday and I've been giving it a look. Great stuff as always, just wish my postman wouldn't curl the thing up to post it through my door. Could be worse though. At least it actually survived the rain this time.
So, #PhantomsFriday then. One from my vault of published articles, this was featured in #PaganDawn magazine. My experiences ghost hunting as a Neopagan among groups that were not. Received positively at the time, this may also interest #ForteanSky as well.

#Forteans have a reputation for being a little on the sour side, and this post of mine from last year is no exception. That said, it is the damned facts that led me to wonder why we are stuck in a time loop. One for #ForteanFriday and #ForteanSky for sure.

Morning #WitchSky, #OccultSky, #PaganSky, #ParanormalSky, #FolkloreSky and #ForteanSky. Happy #Samhain for those who do, and #Halloween for those who don't. Stay spooky out there people, and safe.
Mixing up #FolkloreTursday and #PhantomsFriday with a little slice of #ForteanSky then. One of my older published articles, this one highlights the purely mundane dangers of ghost hunting, with examples. Stay safe out there this #Halloween, Gravehounds.

New section at my author portfolio website in time for #Halloween. Something delightfully necromantic with a light biographical edge. Always going to be work in progress, but worth keeping an eye on for sure, #WitchSky, #PaganSky, #OccultSky and #ForteanSky.

New feature at my author portfolio website. Something delightfully necromantic with a light biographical edge. Always going to be work in progress, but worth keeping an eye on as it grows. #MementoMori #WitchSky, #PaganSky, #OccultSky and #ForteanSky indeed.

Been busy this #ForteanFriday, but didn't forget my plans to share 31 classic ghost documentaries, one a day until #Halloween. And I think both #ParanormalSky and #ForteanSky will get a kick out of this one. It's so delightfully twee.

What was that? Did someone say #ForteanFriday then, #ForteanSky? Well why not a real #UFOSky classic then? No matter your opinions on Erich Von Daniken, and the quality of his research, you can't deny he was a pioneer of the genre.

Fresh for #ForteanFriday this week we have a bit of an oddity, #ForteanSky. IBM, yes, IBM, sponsored a CBS report on the existence of #UFO's back in the mid-Sixties. Lots of twee talking heads stating assumed fact or supposed fantasy. Love this old stuff.

An upright stack of Fortean Times magazines sits surrounded by oversized occult books and other magazines on top of my book shelf. Issues 163, 166, 191, 193, 201, 220, 227, 230, 244, 247, 251, 253, 264, 386, 401, 402, 405, 406, 415, 453, 461 and 462.
Slowly rebuilding my physical collection of #ForteanTimes again. Last lot got water damaged while being stored in the attic, salvaged what I could but that wasn't much, #ForteanSky. Half the fun is collecting anyway, rooting around in second hand bookshops and such, so I'm not too salty about it.
So, updates and future plans for my #BlueSky account going forward. Call this the pre-equinox state of the union or something. First, I am still actively pushing the #ForteanSky hashtag and hoping it gains the traction it deserves. Been curating a playlist of 70's, 80's and 90's shows and ... (1/3)
Eight bagged back issues of Fortean Times, two Marvel UK comics (Die Cut and Digitek) and a sweeping arc of rich brown conkers sit on a light wooden floor.
Here then is my haul from today, #ForteanSky. Eight back issues of #ForteanTimes, two old #MarvelUK comics, and enough #Conkers to carry me through until #Yule. Also got a couple new books too, but I'll save them for another post.
Totally going to start doing this. Does anyone have any #ForteanSky stories or bits to post? They are some of my favorite kind! 😁🖤
A call to action of sorts for #ForteanFriday then, everyone. So it seems that #ForteanSky as a hashtag is pretty much non existent on here, an oversight that definitely needs correcting. So I humbly suggest it's inclusion in relevant posts going forward.

OK, so #WeirdWednesday again then, #ForteanSky. And I have a slightly different recommendation for y'all. One of the better strange and unusual channels on #YouTube. They really do their research and actually have a human reading it all too. Not bad at all.

I’m about ready to dig into these books. #UFOsky ##UAPsky #Forteansky #unidentifiedflyingobjects #books #JacquesVallee
