In 1964, the #UniversityOfCalifornia Regents instituted a #LoyaltyOath for faculty and banned political #protest on UC campuses. Thousands of students at #UCBerkeley responded with a #SitIn. On #ThisDayInHistory in 1964 about 800 students in the #FreeSpeechMovement were arrested.
