Matoa (Pometia pinnata) — a local Indonesian fruit.
It’s extremely seasonal, only appearing for a few days each year.
The taste is like a mix of lychee and jackfruit.
You can occasionally find it in East Malaysia too.

Came across a wild fruit in the rainforest today — they call it the Mulu apple.
