Fungus gnats are my nemesis! They lay their eggs in the soil, the eggs hatch, and the larvae eat the roots. For young tender sprouts, it doesn’t end well. This time I’m trying hydrogen peroxide watering and it sure brought the larvae to the surface! #pestcontrol #fungusgnats #plantstarts 🌿
I've decided to redo my #isopod tank. New petboxes has been ordered and a few more supplies. Will deck them out for anti #fungusgnats. Process likely to take months to get all out 😂 This might be when my partner finds out about them. We have only just had them since late October 😏🪲
Today exploded my tank with my secret #isopods with none other than #fungusgnats. Thankfully the tank has been used to contain pet insects before so the #gnats can't get out unless I let them. I've put up a #stickytrap to collect this batch of gnats so I can clean the tank a bit before more hatches😂
There are various inorganic potting media available depending on the kind of plant youre growing. I tend to water houseplants from below though, stand them in a tray of water and let them soak it up, the top cm of soil says dry so no #fungusgnats or mold 🪴🌱

I have #FungusGnats, my pot plants I mean. They zoom around, like flying pot plant cooties, and are prolific ancestors – they can lay about 300 eggs in their short life+
Aaag, I'm overrun with #FungusGnats! I have too many seed starts in my house, I knew it was going to happen sooner or later. This stupid cold snap at the end of March again meant I couldn't put them outside. I'm sure they came from the Lowes plant I bought but now they're everywhere in my face. 🌱
