A small Furrow Bee pushes her head into the centre of an aubretia flower to try to reach the nectar. Her head and thorax are dark brown, with a lighter brown pile, and her abdomen is black, with white hair bands between the tergites. The pollen brush on her back leg is full, and her head and body are also dusted with pollen. The flowers around her are a mid pinky-purple colour
