These Dahlias exploded in growth!
I went on vacation for 9 days and came back with this much growth. I was super surprised to see how much the flowers have grown. Especially when they are just by the sliding glass door. I can't wait for put these out in the garden in May!

Coralie dahlia I had just bought in the fall and the only one I have of this one I got more than 10 from the same person so it was definitely just one of those things The conventional wisdom is always to just throw out a mushy tuber, but I figured there was no harm in trying After snipping off the bad big I did leave it for 24 hours to dry before potting it up in soilless medium (promix) like the other dahlia
Exciting!! The dahlia sprout just came up a day or two ago, and it's looking like it's going to be a good one The purpose of propogating sprouts, generally is to have more dahlias, but in this case becuase I don't think this tuber would survive the summer, I think it will rot pretty quickly with the open end This sprout should produce another tuber I can save
Rules are made to be broken
Out of over a dozen Dahlia tubers I had one come out of storage with a squish bottom
Instead of chucking it, because it was just the tip, I snipped that off kept it segregated from the others, and SUCCESS!
Plan is it propegate the sprout
