I love the amazing magenta colour of Nerines (Guernsey Lillies) and the bees agree! Autumn bulbs are a joyful way to farewell Summer. #bloomscrolling

Super happy with all of this... cute flower, great colour and a whimsical "you want petals where?.. yeah, nah" attitude.

Camellia sasanqua - no freakin' clue.

This was a cutting I took from my garden, stuck it a pot with a plastic bottle over it and it has decided to grow... and flower. Will need to investigate.

Finally got a flower to full open. Petals have a weird 'blistered tissue paper' appearance.

A metal bowl filled with home grown water spinach, beans, cucumbers, eggplant and one cherry tomato. Next to it is a 3D printed quail egg holder with 3 eggs in it.
My months of chaos gardening to figure out what works in the garden were well spent after all! I'm still glad I typed "quail egg" into the MakerWorld search when J asked me if I wanted anything printed.

Camellia sasanqua 'Paradise Blush'

"Blush"?... looks more like total embarrassment. It will continue to open up and the colour will wash out to a blush.
4cm (1.75") flower.

Sun has set, light is fading fast, time for some additional lighting. This is another flower on the same Camellia sasanqua 'Asakura' I posted couple of days ago.
5cm (2.25") flower.

Colchicum. They have an almost checker-board pattern. Definitely move it out of lawn #gardeningAU
This bulb has no kikuyu growing under the very old very large clump. Elephant lily’s, Persimmon, salvia, 2x mahonia and a blow-in native prickly bush. I should get back to work
#gardeningAU
working my way up the hill with the whipper-snipper. I hate kikuyu.
this one has all sorts of native pollinators on the flowers #gardeningAU
these Ned to be moved out of the lawn #gardeningAU

Eeeek I moved a coleus round the back this morning so I can repot it, but our resident teddy bear bee just came to the front door looking for it. I'm sorry buddy.... it's not that far away....

I really should stop throwing out labels.. this is the best these flowers have been. Well over a metre tall. Heading for 5 ‘ old measurements. African. The bulbs are up to 20cm wide. They sit like beasts just below the surface of the soil, tops showing. #gardeningAU
A new type of corn I'm growing( Early Leaming corn ) can apparently grow over 300cm tall and has red silks
I thought the strong winds might snap the more slender stalks, but so far so good
I just hope the cockatoos are not attracted to the crop

I can’t remember what this is.. but it’s a long lived slow growing bulb which now has 7-8 flowers on a spike every year. It’s also divided, finally.. love goth plants #gardeningAU
This summer has been tough on plants in full sun, luckily the hibiscus is potted for easier moving

I wasn't expecting the white radish to grow so long 😯

26 minutes later they’re both open .. I could sit here all day under these flowers just imbuing the scent surrounding them..
