Freddie Mercury the Croton throwing some nice shadows tonight. This fellow was the first houseplant I could keep alive. A co-worker of mine sadly passed away from Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis and I inherited the plant from her office mates. It moved all over the building with me until I moved to a spot with no bright light. I didn’t trust anyone else with the plant so I brought it home. Quite a spectacle as it’s almost 5’ tall and bushy. Enlisted the help of my husband and we loaded it up in our truck and slowly drove it home. So glad I live just a few blocks away. It survived and had no shock from the road trip. 😆 He is living his best life with Leonard Cohen the Monstera who is also an office refuge. Both are waaaay too big for my dining room and I have to constantly tell my family members to “samba” around the plants so they aren’t damaged. Don’t even get me started on the dogs tail…🤦🏻♀️ 2025 challenge is to trim and train both to fit the space better. 🤞
Choose 20 plants that have stayed with you or influenced you. One per day for 20 days, in no particular order. No explanations (see ALT text 😉), no details, just photos.
