3 page grayscale comic of a soap ghost könig (technically platonic) AU in a medieval catholic inspired fantasy setting with a ‘what if Price was basically Dionysus in his empowering aspect and had found Simon (09 Ghost backstory style) and offered him his protection’ premise; with Soap, Ghost and König as transmasc people (and a true name gives power subplot used for trans affirmation) more focused on vibes than historical, anatomical or setting accuracy and details, though some effort went into crafting slightly different ambiances for the different characters and story. Soap meets Ghost in a spooky forest though the how and why is unclear, and thinks he is a demon come to tempt him, which, fair, since Ghost does suggest a deal, and looks pretty demonic with his horns, misty smoke, extra teeth on his cheeks, mystical and threateningly ominous way of speaking and gratuitous amounts of lipstick. Soap refuses at first, demanding to know Ghost’s name in order to banish him. Ghost is amused at Soap’s bravery, and reveals several names that seem to resonate with Soap and elicit quite some amount of dread. Soap asks what Ghost wants from him, showing true fear. Ghost becomes pensive, asking if he’s correct in assuming that Soap is like him. He then latches onto Soap’s fear, which doesn’t seem to be about dying or anything of the like ; but rather because Ghost seems to see through him to his desires, in a ‘if you knew this and offered it to me I could never refuse’ way. Ghost says that he would, and that the people around Soap would never. He then delivers a neat little speech that sums up Soap’s sad little life, past present and future. Soap, after some deliberation, asks what is the catch.
Ghost announces that for that he needs Soap’s true name. If given, Soap would lose everything else: his people would reject him for being himself. Soap stammers, saying he is Joan MacTavish, which isn’t his true name. Ghost asks confirmation, and receiving no answers, prepares to leave. Soap suddenly states his name is John. The deal is sealed. John asks Ghost about himself, concluding that he isn’t really a demon. Ghost reveals he is a vassal to some other entity, and that his true name is Simon. John is interested in Simon, and asks if he can come with, since he can’t stay where he used to. Simon agrees, though perplexed. John asks if he will get as big as Simon, who states he doesn’t exactly make the rules; and John is short already. John proceeds to ask about Simon’s inhuman characteristics, which Simon replies is up to John. John refuses, stating that it’s spooky. Simon replies good heartedly that he is the fear of many. John after a beat, decides to empathise with that, stating he isn’t good either, but that they could learn. Simon is moved, and tells John that he’s in fact pretty sweet. John gets embarassed, and shuts down the conversation by stating that Simon will provide him support Simon didn’t get as he was alone, and so that they are ‘quits’. After a time skip, we see a new character panicking after seeing a shadow in a woody area, mirrorring the start of the previous page. This new character, (König), starts feverishly apologising on the religious assumption that what they’ve been told is right and that they are a dirty sinner whose deserved comeuppance is finally here. This gets quickly interrupted by someone shushing them. John, visibly older (and hairier) states that they may be scary, but that there’s no need to panic, as they were just passing through and about to leave. König in a good hearted, brave but misguided intent addresses John, saying that as a human, it’s never too late to turn back.
John, surprised, starts giggling, struggling to explain. He settles on saying that ‘Maybe Simon's a devil, but he made an honest man out of me’. Simon makes a joke about his big words compared to his short stature. John replies in mock offense. König is flabberghasted, then quickly weighs their options between an ominous church tower and lively banter ; they snap, and reach out for John, saying that if what they’re witnessing is true, they’d like to come with; they carry a secret they wish they could speak of without it meaning their end but rather their absolution. John asks if they’re who Simon sensed, and Simon answers that it’s likely; his form shifts from a devilish appearance to one more angelic (König’s shift in perception) and asks if König wants to come with them, losing ‘all they never wanted to gain everything they never dared hope for’. There is another time skip, then a fourth character is speaking to Simon like they’re meeting after quite some time; it’s Price, the entity who helped save Simon initially. They show concern over Simon, seeming to genuinely care but also being a bit distant and out of their depth. Simon answers that things are going good for him, and that he appreciates what Price has done for him and what he has gained, in spite of the very heavy ‘price’ he’s had to pay and shoulder to get there. He’s focused on his inner thoughts and happy, thinking of what has helped him decide it was more than well worth it; an ending picture/tableau of a semi circle of him, König, John, someone who is intended to be Kate Laswell’s wife, Kate Laswell, and Gaz in a rather playful setting that could be a picnic. Gaz is reading a book aloud, probably a fairytale, with THE END written on the page he’s gotten to. There is some flowery ornamentations that spread from Simon, who looks restful and appreciating the feeling of being surrounded by people he esteems and loves ; like the ending to any good happy end folktale.

Cinderella AU anyone?
We do have a fic idea for it, but couldn't get it done in time for the event. Here's the cover though.
The word is titled "Shrouded in Darkness" and the author is called spiritofthenortherners. The summary reads: On the brink of death Simon Riley makes a deal with a strange woman or maybe he hallucinated the whole thing. He survives Roba and lives on, embracing war, death and everything that is Ghost. Then he meets a Sergeant named John MacTavish, a man with bright blue eyes and no fear of dead men. This is a story about love, death and fae. Inspired by tales of the Scottish Queen of Fairies Nicnevin, sometimes referred to as Scottish Hekate.

Loosely inspired by the legend of The Goatman at the Old Alton Bridge. Most people know it from the Buzzfeed Unsolved video, though technically I’m from this neck of the woods 🙂↕️
