I was standing at the front of the house, it was about 1am, my mates had gone down to the field at the end of the pathway - just visible in photo. I was just looking around and felt suddenly cold so I took photos in front of me - I always took random pictures whenever I felt something or visibly saw something. Usually pitch black as my group went out between 11 pm & 4 am, so I took photos of darkness! Camera used was fab at this punishment . At home going through the photos was this one Which I call ‘the ghost man’ . You see what you see!

Monochrome image of a debris strewn space between tombs at the St Louis Cemetery No 1 in the city of New Orleans, Louisiana, USA. This is the oldest surviving cemetery in New Orleans, with most tombs above ground due to the high water table and risk for flooding. Amongst others buried here is Voodoo Queen Marie Laveau. It is touted as one of the most haunted cemeteries in the US. The image shows the rough and broken walls of vaults that stand taller than the viewer. The alley between contains broken pieces of brick and cement and an empty planter. The sky above, in contrast, is light and clear with puffy clouds.

Photograph of an upstairs corridor at Speke Hall, Liverpool. First visited as a child (9 or 10) and this was the point where I started to feel uneasy. A room on the left is where I lasted about 30 seconds before dashing out, father in concerned tow. It was this visit that I remember my first awareness of other worldly elements but couldn't articulate it nor really understand it. I revisited last year. Turns out the Grade I listed, Tudor masterpiece of Speke Hall is regarded as one of the most haunted buildings in England. I was not aware of this as a child! Lots available online if you want to know more. Photograph shows a long corridor with dark wood panelling and leaded glass windows on the right. A long patterned runner covers the dark floor boards. An intricately carved dark wood sideboard, two chairs and a tall grandfather clock blend into the panelling on the left either side of doorways into bedrooms. Straight ahead is a wall light and a small illuminated square which shows a glimpse into the priest hole.

Photograph taken inside the Witch's Garrett at Samlesbury Hall in Lancashire. A dimly lit room, recreated as a space a witch may have occupied during the time of the Pendle Witch Trials in 1612. It has dried herbs and skins hanging and some marks scrawled onto the wall. The room is part of a few opened up to educate about the history of witchcraft in the local area. It was both creepy and familiar at the same time. Well worth a visit! Further info on the brilliantly unsettling exhibition is found in the comments.
