more timelessly pathetic vertigo in the body tips us from high windows or low times, spinning in or out, it doesn’t even matter. i sit down, plastic slick against skin, and write you a postcard: giddy sublime raincoat on one side. things i need scrawled in all caps on the other, like a used-car-sale sign. the ink running from rain stains my sleeves. this is all just the body dissolving into perception. the ache of still existing what we find inside it— the beauty, i mean, or the sublime. i don’t know. there’s a 90s pop song about a raincoat. i always hated that song.
