Section of a display panel titled 'Different Stories, Multiple Perspectives' outlining the polyvocal approach the Empire Retold project took to both collating interviews and quotes from members of the Glasgow community who took part in project workshops, as well as in their historical research.
Selection of character cards and quote cards that users can select from to then see what characters they identify with and what quotes they would agree or disagree with. There are potentially many levels and different ways of playing this game, helping open up spaces for people to think through their own views and those of others in new and different ways.

Memorial to William Miller, "the laureate of the nursery" located in Glasgow Necropolis which was paid by public subscription. He died in poverty in 1872 and is buried elsewhere in Tollcross Cemetery in Glasgow in an unmarked grave, making this monument a cenotaph. He wrote the children's nursery rhyme "Wee Willie Winkie" in 1841.

This portrait roundel of William Miller who penned "wee Willie Winkie" is a fibreglass replacement for the original bronze, which was stolen and recovered. Tap it with your finger next time you're there!

Day 16 of #31DaysOfGraves is #Obelisk. But I missed yesterday's #damaged theme too, so here is a #grave from the Glasgow Necropolis which can count as both.
This #monument has an unusual triangular plinth, but the stone is weathered, rendering the lettering unreadable
