Chili in a bowl made from goetta, kidney beans, onions, green pepper, tomato sauce, and chili seasoning. I added a tad of cinnamon. It's a Cincinnati thing.

I used some leftovers to make chili last night. #Goetta is a Cincinnati meatloaf breakfast sausage kind of thing. It was happy dance good!

Goetta (pronounced "GET uh") is a German sausage product from Cincinnati made with steel oats as a filler. Think of it as meatloaf meets breakfast patty.

Popeye's Chicken used to serve Cajun rice. I made my own version at home with turkey #goetta, basmati rice, Lipton beef onion soup powder, and green onions. 😋 -E

My Mom used to get it from Finke’s, a local grocery store, until she found a recipe and started making it at home.
