Before the heat arrived, I captured this one-minute moment in a Fen meadow.
One of my favorite habitats, known in Dutch as bluegrass meadow, named for the soft, silvery-blue glow that gives it its unique character.

Strawberry clover. This is new to me but having had a read I wonder if it had been planted as a crop? It was in a nature reserve, anyway. And a final one for the #grasschallenge, Sea club-rush. #wildflowerhour
Thought I'd go for the hat-trick with a grass, a sedge and a reed (or a bur-reed anyway) for this week's challenge.
I found Pendulous Sedge along the river, along with Branched Bur-reed. And some very vigorous False Oat Grass in a lofty position on a roadside verge.
