Large striped German tomato predominating, with background of beef, steak, Cherokee, purple and Brandywine tomatoes. Straight German is a yellow tomato with red stripes or patches. Excellent tomato flavor on the sweet side, with a very tender skin. Heirloom tomatoes are a little more difficult to grow for shipping because of the tender skin and the flavor develops at the last stage of maturity. Reminder to buy local because you will get the best flavor possible.

They can be used fresh or make pickled tomatoes, salsa, chili or used in anyway that you would use larger tomatoes. The multiple colors remind us that diversity in farming is very important to help with keeping plants healthy. Diversity in the human population is also important to provide a greater knowledge of how the world works and acknowledgment of the different ways that we can look at a situation.
