Four images of hellebores that are now flowering in our garden. They are all different varieties - three are shades of red & pink. The fourth is pale yellow.

Spring is beginning in England. Our hellebores are flowering in the garden. We are very relieved as they suffered badly in last summer’s drought. #photography #spring #hellibores

Despite the numbing cold weather here in Northumberland the beautiful #Hellibores are starting to come into bloom. This is one I bought a few years ago and it’s managed to produce these stunning ‘flowers’ each Spring. The sepals make up the flower whilst the petals have evolved into nectaries.
