It's taken forever but at last I've finished writing my blogs on the 360+ mile Great Chalk Way that I walked last spring & summer from Lyme Regis to Holme-next-the-Sea.

If you do the #IcknieldWay next year it's only another 46 miles to the sea!
Just completed the 362 mile, coast to coast Great Chalk Way in 27 stages. Started at Lyme Regis in Dorset & finished at Holme-next-the-Sea on the North Norfolk Coast #WessexRidgeway #CranborneDrovesWay #SarsenWay #TheRidgeway #IcknieldWay #PeddarsWay What an experience! @ramblersgb.bsky.social

Friday #IcknieldWay walk from Kennett to Icklingham. About 8 miles through fields, woods and heathland. Not feeling 100% so no beer breaks en route - one is going in the fridge right now!

Doing the bit of the #IcknieldWay that defeated me last year! (Harlington to) Toddington to Thorn. 13km with some awful new town construction sites but a couple of nice stretches and the first lambs of spring!
Skogtastic 65km ride over Hagbourne Hill & some of #IcknieldWay, with nice coffee & fuel at The #GrocerChef cafe in Ardington. Sat outside in the sun! ππ Though it would be colder, so had to lose a layer. #Oxfordshire #Cycling #NCN544
Arum leaves luxuriantly await the shooting up of their flowers, beneath the frothy Blackthorn surf.

Kestrel's eye view of blossoming Blackthorn from footbridge over roaring A11. No dual carriageway nor bridge here when Edward Thomas walked the #IcknieldWay in 1911. But in June he wasn't blessed with today's brilliant, bridal white Blackthorn tunnel #MyWalk #GreatChesterford 1/3
The #IcknieldWay seething in stupid game birds...and a foxy smell to boot... Wonderful how Greater Knapweed persists into the gloom. Hogweed & Scentless Mayweed in full bloom. Hares beginning to act as if it's already March. One stitched down the lane ahead of me. #TheWinter10
The #IcknieldWay at #WestonColville on a seemingly irredeemably dank English 1st day of December. Mostly walking in cloud though only at 70 m. Looking forward to the S African sun next week at #AEWAMoP7! Still plenty of haws and other fruit for the winter thrushes. #MyWalk #Cambs
Big bushes of the ever fascinating Spindle along #IcknieldWay. Also Bittersweet bling baubles. #Thetford Heath in wintery sunlight. (Strange none of its residents seem to like skyr; a maggot that tried died in the attempt... wouldnβt have had skyr consumers down as litterbugs!).
