A miniature Warhammer 40,000 heavy weapons team featuring two Astra Militarum soldiers in a prone position on a desert-themed base with a heavy bolter. They are wearing yellow-brown fatigues, brown boots and gloves, and olive flak helmets with red-tinted goggles. One soldier operates a large, black heavy bolter mounted on a bipod, while the other acts as a loader/spotter. The circular base is covered in fine brown sand and small rocks.

I'm really glad they're remaking the Armageddon Steel Legion. When they do, I hope they bring back the lying-down heavy bolter team. That was so cool to me as a kid. If I'd had the pocket money, I'd have done #SteelLegion alongside my Tallarn Desert Raiders.

Front view of my Imperial Guard army's regimental standard and its wounded bearer. It reads "Fidelis Finem", which hopefully translates to "Loyal (to the) end". There was no way I could paint these letters small enough to include the word "ad".

I found a latinized phrase in some old lore paper I wrote for my army: "Ever loyal to the Emperor and the City". Shortened it, then shortened it even further and now my regimental standard has a motto.

Good enough for my purposes. I dislike painting tiny letters.

All the minis are wearing grey urban camo uniforms, with the exception of Sly: He is tacticool, and has desert camo pants.

Fixed the mold line on "fuel guy's" left arm, and I'm calling the tank crew and Sly done. The ratlings need a bit more work, and the banner bearer needs a slogan. I won't be able to varnish them for a few more days anyway, so I have time to come up with something.

12 metal Kasrkin for Warhammer 40k. They are painted with white armor and black uniforms, similar in appearance to the Stormtroopers from Star Wars. Their leader has a power sword and a hot-shot laspistol, four are equipped with special weapons (two each of plasma and meltaguns) the other seven are equipped with their standard hot-shot lasguns.

A Warhammer army never truly is finished, right? And if you've seen my recent posts you know my plans.

But: These Kasrkin are my army's last OG unit. Only took me 20 years to get them painted. 😂

A WIP unit of 5 Imperial Guard Rough Riders for Warhammer 40k, customized so they are mounted on bikes instead of horses. Bikes are from the GSC Atalan Jackals and Jackal Alphus kits, the Guard parts are from old and new Cadian as well as Krieg kits.

The quad from the GSC Atalan Jackals kit and in front of it a miniature, the upper body of which is an older metal tank commander. Maybe I'll use him as mounted commissar? Just an idea, it could look cool, even if this mini doesn't have any rules currently. Or maybe I'll just leave it as terrain piece.

I don't have any Attilan Rough Riders, but for anyone interested here's a size comparison between one of my custom Rough Rider bikers, an old Empire knight for WHFB, and a Krieg Death Rider. Unsurprisingly, that sneaky little biker is considerably smaller than the other miniatures.

It's still a very early WIP, but here's the basic appearance of my Rough Riders on bikes. Might still tweak it here and there till I'm entirely happy with the arms before I'll add bits and all that.
