Une demoiselle (odonates) qui regarde l(objectif, cachée par la feuille sur laquelle elle se tient. De la tête, seuls ses gros yeux dépassent de part et d'autre.

I don’t have anything prepared for #insecthursday except bad tumblr memories. Here’s a good lizard memory to remind me to feed the cock and hen and chick roaches when I get home.

Seems like a cute dinner date for #valentinesday

In focus in the fore ground: a large major leaf cutter and facing the lens and a smaller worker to her right facing left of frame. They are on solid sandy brown terrain.
Out of focus in the background: there are several other ants of various sizes surrounding larger leaves. Towards the center of frame but a little to the right you can see ants working on a leaf out of focus.

The leaf cutter #ants (Atta cephalotes) at the #zoo have always been a motivator for my #macrophotography. I’m proud of this picture, but I have every intention of getting better and getting even better shots. (Shot 6-10-23) 🐜 #insecthursday #photography #invert #insect

This year during the eclipse, this six-spotter tiger #beetle (Cicindela sexguttata) was stunned by the sudden light changes and actually sat still for a #photo. (Shot 4-8-24) #insecthursday #photography #invert #insect
