#ZodiacalLight is a faint cone of light caused by sunlight reflecting off #InterplanetaryDust. Imaged from #Oxfordshire 15 Mar '26. #Canon1100D + 10mm & 18mm lenses. 20 & 18 images stacked in #Sequator with & without LP removal. More details in the VLOG I shared yesterday #AtmosphericOptics
Microscopic view of a meteoroid's trail (5 hundredths of an inch long) in aerogel, captured by the EURECA spacecraft. The trail, resembling a tiny carrot, shows the path of a dust particle (about a thousandth of an inch in diameter) possibly originating from a comet, offering insights into the early Solar System.

#ZodiacalLight from #Oxfordshire, UK on 25th Feb '25. It's the faint triangle of light that extends up from #Venus to the Pleiades, caused by sunlight reflecting off #InterplanetaryDust. It's a challenge from here because of increasing light pollution. 39x25sec + 20 darks, Canon 1100D +10mm lens
