It's a huge net positive that we have multiple schools of feminist thought & feminists with highly variable foci. Unity is great and all, but so is debate. Besides, we're far better at covering each other's blind spots when we're allowed to specialize—vegetarian ecofeminists tackle subjects that hadn't even crossed my mind, and where our conversations overlap, they offer valuable angles that I couldn't have. Angles we ultimately benefit from whether we agree or not. Ditto for carceral feminists, technofeminists, etc. We don't have to be in perfect lock-step. We just have to do our best to show up for each other. Patriarchy wins if men can convince us that coalition is a dirty word.
