Pax, my French bulldog (and muse for the illustrated children's book series Mighty Pax's Misadventures), is lying on the edge of this huge grassy box, looking pensively around, checking out everyone who passes by to see if it's one of his Favorite People. His front paws are before him, paws resting on the wooden edge of the box. Behind him and to the side, a wooden picnic table, further behind, the touch hedge of a house where birds are happily chirping away.
