Yuhan’s unique printing style without black key block outlines simulates the soft watercolor look that creates such a captivating scene.
Kiyomizu-dera was founded in the early Heian period and by 778 it was owned by the Buddhist Kita-Hosso sect under Enchin Shonin, a priest from Nara who received a vision to construct the temple next to the Otowa spring. Not a single nail was used to construct it. It takes its name from a waterfall in the nearby hills.

Yuhan’s art was heavily influenced by the works of Western Impressionists, particularly Claude Monet. He admired Monet’s use of color and light to capture the essence of landscapes and scenes.
