At #IUCNcongress, WCS's Madhu Rao was re-elected as Chair of the World Commission on Protected Areas.

In this role, Rao has strengthened the global protected area workforce, integrated One Health principles, developed strategies for Antarctica and the Southern Ocean, and more.

We are pleased to announce that Prof. Dr. Christina Voigt has been elected for another four-year term as Chair of the IUCN World Commission on Environmental Law (WCEL).

The election took place during the Members' Assembly at the #IUCNcongress, held this week in Abu Dhabi.
