Photo: Micah and Sarah, and a dozen or more other members of Respect MO Voters, most of them in yellow t-shirts like these, were on hand before, during and after the demonstration to solicit signatures for a petition to protect the state's citizen's right to use ballot initiatives to enact laws and amendments their lawmakers refuse to pass and, indeed, attempt to reverse and subvert after they've been successfully enacted by statewide votes. The sign is home-made with blue lettering affixed to a corrugated white plastic material and decorated with a couple of stickers. Its message reads, "LOOK AT THE VIOLENCE INHERENT IN THE SYSTEM!!" One of the stickers appears to be a flower. The other depicts Dr. Who and bears the inscription: "100 PERCENT REBEL TIME LORD!" It would not be unreasonable to wager that Suzan's other car is a Tardis.

Panoramic Cellphone Photo: In the center, bottom to top, the main hall of the Rotunda, ground floor, second and third floor balconies, topped by the oculus. The view is distorted, made smaller by the panoramic processing (kind of like a fisheye view). The main hall and both balconies are packed. To the center, white walled, marble floored corridors of the second floor wrapping the balconies, with the extreme ends of a single wide banner being held by a row of demonstrators immediately behind the photographer on either side. The banner showing on the left includes the letters "APS" and an outline of the state of Missouri, half red and half blue. What shows at the opposite end of the photo is the other end of the banner, spelling out "FAIR." The banner in toto reads, "FAIR MAPS." The bi-colored map of the state is a reminder that while the Democratic and MAGA parties both have similar numbers of citizens across the state, MAGA is wildly over-represented in the legislature (at both the state and federal levels) due to the state's insane level of gerrymandering.

Estimates of the turnout varied wildly, from the unquestionable hundreds (MissouriNet, The KC Star, and KMBC), through the possible but optimistic "over a thousand" (Columbia's ABC17/FOX22KQFX), into the improbable "thousands" (KCTV5).
