Williams was removed from normal duties until the federal investigation was complete. In 2017, the Department of Justice announced that it declined to seek federal charges against Williams, who returned to full duty soon after.

Thomas was not yet aware of Crawford's death at the time of the interrogation. She died in a car crash in Dayton, 1/1/2015. A grand jury declined to indict Williams and the other officer on criminal charges. Another cop got away with killing another Black man.

Ronald Ritchie said, "At no point did he shoulder the rifle and point it at somebody", while maintaining that #JohnCrawfordIII was "waving it around". After shooting Crawford, while he was bleeding out, Williams climbed on top of him and handcuffed him.

Facts: Crawford was shot & killed by white cop, Sean Williams. The shooting was captured on surveillance video and at no point did #JohnCrawfordIII aim the BB gun at anyone. After the security camera footage was released, Ritchie recanted his statement that led to the fatal shooting.

He picked up the un-packaged BB/pellet air rifle inside the store's sporting goods section and continued shopping in the store unaware a White man, Ronald Ritchie, called 9-1-1 claiming that Crawford had been pointing the gun at fellow customers.
