Recent #dogwalks combined with #birding. Q’ówqèwem #kawkawalake had little ice, a view of Qemqemó #MountOgilvie and many coots plus dreams of swimming and boating in the summertime. Starrett’s pond had a lot of ice, many ring-necked ducks and a nice reflection of Islléleqw #Isolillockpeak

From today’s chilly hike: #hairice! #exidiopsiseffusa was described a little over 15 years ago as the organism behind this beautiful phenomenon. Hair ice is found in a limited range (45-55 degrees N) around 0 degrees C in humid conditions. #kawkawalake #hopebc
