And tbd on whether I'll bother with the underskirt attachment before or after comic con bc I'm all out of patience

I kept the tassels short to be able to wear this out like a normal going-out-to-the-bakery dress w/o showing my whole ass ... but there is a temptation ... to bring the slits up higher up my thigh??? a little slinkier? But I'd need leggings or an underskirt. What to DO?

My back is going to be in absolute SHAMBLES tomorrow from all the measuring and cutting and pinning but ... we're rolling out the red carpet for everyone's favorite best boy, Henry of Skalitz.
Tomorrow we deal with sleeves and tassels and *pockets*!!

The Henry of Skalitz red surcoat dress pattern adjustments are done!! It doesn't look different enough from the last video to warrant a new one, but it IS BETTER NOW.
Which means this upcoming week ... I start cutting into the [whines in panic] real red linen fabric for realsies!!!!

We have a prototype of Henry's surcoat/tabard inspired dress!! (with different lengths for testing purposes)
I like how the side corset ties worked so I'll definitely add those now! still need to fix up the back of the dress pattern but - PROGRESS!!

All I have to do is ... [sighs] ... hand stitch the lining to 16 individual leaves.

Added interfacing to protect the embroidery on the dropped leaves and keep them straight. Added a linen lining, and stab stitched a nice crisp hood opening.
...
I'm proud of myself for getting this far! But! I still don't have a fuckin CLUE what I'm gonna do about lining 16 leaves. 😅
