A wrap that grows to 300 st rows without sections within are tough!

A #knitsky question. This shawl calls for fingering weight yarn and 6mm needles. Could I achieve a similar effect with light weight (3) yarn and 8mm or 9mm needles? Definitely need to think about how many stitches to cast on for width. #knitting #knithelp
