Back from vacation and all seven #Laelia anceps #orchid #flowers are open.
Half-opened orchid flower with outer sepals light yellowish-green and inner lip yellow with white edges. There is some dark red deep in the throat.
First bud on the second spike of my #laelia #orchid opening.
White orchid with greenish-white sepals. Inside its lip is yellow and touches of dark red. There are three more buds, one of which is starting to open.
Now opening: #Laelia anceps v. Schroederiana #orchid. First of 7 buds on 2 spikes (a third spike didn’t form buds). First time it’s flowered since Dec 26, 2022. The color will shift towards pinkish-purple.
Laelia gouldiana
Brilliant color on long spikes, smelling vaguely of soap. The plant has three spikes this year, each with 3-4 flowers. I grow this mounted. It and its long time neighbor are stuck to each others mounts, moving them around for fancy photos is challenging.
