Here are just some of the scrumptious homemade bakes from the Museum Cafe over the last 12 months 😋
To this day, I regret missing Legion: Life in the Roman Army at the British Museum. How did I get the finishing dates wrong?! However I got to handle and put on display this Roman oil lamp with its cool Gladiator (I think he's a Samnite, with his helmet and long shield?). #Museum30 #Last12Months
#Museum30 The #Last12Months saw Winterbourne House and Garden host its first Horticultural Heritage symposium, where delegates across the horticulture and heritage sectors met and shared ideas. Watch this space for another event next year.

Day 24 #Last12Months
2024 has been a special year for the Egham Museum and what a ride it’s been.
Let’s take a look at some of this year’s highlights… 🧵

In the #Last12Months we have been making progress with cataloguing our archives and new acquisitions. This is just one aisle! #Museum30
#Museum30, day 18: really struggled to put out content during the #Last12Months due to my day job and working on larger MM projects. But there are good things on the way and I hope the blog will be more active in 2024. 🤞In any case, lots of good acquisitions in the past year!

#Museum30 day 18 #last12months have been incredibly busy! From starting the second year of my MSc to finishing it, finishing of objects, making friends for life, trying new skills and hobbies, moving to new areas. 1/
#Museum30, day 9: #Last12months were busy! Not much progress made on the projects that were planned at the start of the year, but that’s because other amazing things popped up. Some bad stuff is on the horizon, however…I hope to keep the positive energy going in 2023.🤞
#Museum30, day 26: I didn’t think much of the Museum’s blog posts in the #Last12Months - thought the ones from 2020 were better overall - but I did like how the #mermaid exhibition turned out. 💙🧜♀️

#museum30, day 26: the #last12months have been brutal for the Museum, worse than 2019 in a lot of ways...some people are really terrible. Many times I considered shutting down (and I still do), but I’m so grateful for the kind messages I’ve received and kept me going. #thankyou
