A dramatic image taken at Bamburgh Castle a few weeks ago. I found a nice pool of water for the foreground, which perfectly reflected the dramatic sunrise sky. Looking over some flat dark stones into the distance where the castle lies, a few photographers on the horizon enjoying this dramatic but beautiful morning.

No new images for 2 weeks due to some virus so sadly missing out on the share and fs print fun. Here's another shot from Bamburgh from a few weeks ago.

Morning blues at the Groynes in Portobello, an exposure of 2 mins has smoothen out the water and the sky looks soft and fluffy. With the wooden structure blending perfectly in the blues.

A beautiful autumn scene captured in Dunkeld, little hints of golden colours surrounding a part of the River Garry. It was like a scene from a fairytale.

As the sun sets on the Mirrorman sculpture up at St Fillans, overlooking Lochearnhead. The sun was lighting up the surrounding hills and the golden trees. The water looked calm due to long exposure, which has smoothen out the water ripples. The sun sparkling on the Mirrormans armour as the light begins to fade. With warming tones throughout the scene. It was a pure magical moment to be there.

A sunset image looking towards Bass rock from Seacliff Beach. The sunset gives the overall image a peachy colour, with warming tones. I got low down to capture the ripples in the sand to add to the foreground. Some water remains between tge ripples which has the sky reflecting in perfectly.

A coastal scene photographed in Gullane, no direct light, so there is a blue tone to the image. A lomg exposure was used to smoothen out the water over the loose stones, a wee hint of colour from some vibrant seaweed in the foreground. More drama to the scene due to a rather moody cloud band above. Which makes for a fairly dramatic seascape scene.

A seascape image captured in Gullane, a small burst of golden light, has lightened up the scene overall. I used a long exposure to smoothen out the water over the rocks. It doesn't feel as dramatic to me as the blue toned previous version, but it is still a dramatic seascape capture.

These two images were taken on the same evening down in Gullane, slightly different shots, but it shows the difference a blast of light from the sun can do. I prefer the more blue toned one, but like both in their own way. Which is your favourite?
