The upper character, Phoenix, is a crow-billed and primarily orange bird with a black-bordered white facial mask and bluish shoulders. She is partially obscured by her mate, Ice, who is in front of her. Ice is a thick-billed, bare-faced bird of blue-gray color with purplish back stripe that transitions into a lacing pattern, and her tail ends in sharp points like a grouse's.
