Green and yellow lichen covering a branching twig
Two varieties (at least) of lichen covering a branch twigging off. One is green and yellow, the other a pale ashy green.
Last but definitely not least, these two tiny conglomerates of lichen varieties. No more than 2 or 3 cm across! I cannot name them, but I sure can appreciate their beauty.

A displaced colony of epiphytes that fell from a tree is pictured against the grey vinyl seat of a vehicle. The chunk is composed of braided-looking maroon-olive liverworts, some minty grey lichen, and a few tiny tufts of moss that are being throttled by the liverworts.
A pleasing chunk of liverworts and lichens and a few tufts of moss that fell out of an English walnut tree at work. I had no idea it was damp enough in the canopy esp with our dry summers for liverworts to thrive like this! Chunk is as big as my hand.

A stout grey tube-lichen clump sits in my hand, it is so large it covers my fingers! It has a huge yellow-brown coloured apothecia (er, apothecium? I've never used it in singular form before) right in the middle that looks like a mushroom when seen from the side: bigger than a nickel! (see photo in comments) The background is a little acid-green Hinoki cypress with assorted black ceramics in the background. I love this lichen so much, when I picked it out of the leaf-blower pile on the forest path my co-worker caught me crooning delightedly and burst out laughing at me.
Look how huge it is!! Bigger than a hamster💚 I was trying to figure out if Hypogymnia imshaugii got so dense and big, but the apothecium had a hole in the middle, and Hypogymnia inactiva has that and the tufty habit too! Does that tentative ID seem right to my fellow licheners?
