An image of what is believed to be Paiute False Bindweed, Calystegia longipes. The plant is a low, twisting mass of narrow stems that trail along the ground and barely wider green, pointed leaves. Flowers are emerging from the trailing stems on short stalks of green; beautiful morning glory flowers of white and blushed with rosy pink. One flower, still opening, faces the camera and shows the stamens inside the flower.

The same day I captured that nightshade shot, I snapped this one, too. I had to do some digging, but I think this is Paiute False Bindweed. A Morning Glory, it may well be highly toxic but beautiful.
